Harnessing your motivation in uncertain times

Discovering what motivates you helps define your passion. Aligning your motivation and giftedness increases your effectiveness and quality of life.

“The heart of human excellence often begins to beat when you discover a pursuit that absorbs you, frees you, challenges you, or gives you a sense of meaning, joy, or passion.” ―Terry Orlick.

2020 was a year that allowed Americans to evaluate their priorities. Life seemed to grind to a halt amid volatile global circumstances. This pause stalled fast-paced lifestyles and caused some to ponder their purpose.

What motivates you?

Some people pursue fame, money, or power. Others desire security, beauty, or humanitarian causes. Self-awareness regarding motivation places people in a position to succeed. It helps them choose the ventures that align with their values—aligning careers with passion and giftedness wields powerful results. Furthermore, aligning the motivations of team members reduces conflict and maximizes cohesiveness. The result is improved productivity and job satisfaction.

Find your calling.

The Motivators assessment offers an in-depth identification and exploration of seven dimensions and how they uniquely combine to influence behavior, decision, and actions:

  • Aesthetic is a drive for balance, harmony, and form.

  • Economic is a drive for return on investment (including time, money, resources).

  • Individualistic is a drive to stand out as independent and unique.

  • Power is a drive to be in control or have influence.

  • Altruistic is a drive to help others at the expense of self.

  • Regulatory is a drive to establish order, routine, and structure.

  • Theoretical is the drive for knowledge, learning, and understanding.
